Bob Jackson joined Badfinger in 1974. Pete Ham had left the band so Bob was drafted in as Pete's replacement. Pete soon returned and Badfinger became a 5 piece a brief time. The 5 piece line-up promoted the "Wish You Were Here" album on a UK Tour with Welsh band "Man". At the end of that tour Joey Molland left Badfinger and so they became a 4 piece once again. Head First would be the final album to feature Pete Ham. At last, we've been able to source the original multi-tracks and give the album it's first official mix and master, 50 years after Pete, Tom, Bob and Mike recorded the album at The Beatles'  Apple Studios in December 1974.
